Something I just have to get off my chest.

I didn't write this but it's still really cool...

Cubicle, Office, Paper stack
Computer, Staplers, Thumbtack
My desk, My work, My pen
Is it time for work again?

Why has God Forsaken me?

I sit and I stare
I twisty my hair
I surf and I shop
I stare at the clock

Why has God Forsaken me?

Monitor, water, paper clip.
In box, out box, pursing my lip
keyboard, mouse, hardest of drives,
Cofee mug, birthday cake, plastic knives

Why has God Forsaken me?

I sit and I dream
Long run out of steam
I cry and I plead
My soul starts to bleed

Why has God forsaken me?

Diploma on wall
Daydreaming of mall
Memo in hand
Rolled up rubber band

Why has God Forsaken me?

I work for old Sam
My pay is a sham
I want a way out
I try not to pout

Why has God Forsaken me?

Quote of the Day

"Not too long ago, two friends of mine were talking to a Cuban
refugee, a businessman who had escaped from Castro, and in the
midst of his story one of my friends turned to the other and
said, 'We don't know how lucky we are.' And the Cuban stopped
and said, 'How lucky you are! I had someplace to escape to.'
In that sentence he told us the entire story. If we lose freedom
here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on
earth." --Ronald Reagan

Back on the Throne

My reign as queen of topic-oriented blogging was threatened last week, but fortunately I was able to *smack down* the insurgent and reclaim my throne. Now the realm of comedic observational blogging has been reclaimed by its rightful leader and all is now at peace in the world. Or the world of blogging. Or a very small corner of the world of blogging. Whatever. It is not my place to take note of such matters in this forum. Stay tuned for the next link to an article and attending criticism of the article and/or its subjects. Also on the horizon is a HUGE update to the wine blog. I'm gathering my strength for that one.
